How To Make All Natural Baby Wipes
by April Kuenzi

Making your own baby wipes is a great way to save money!  Not only will you love how economical they are but they also work better then the store brands.  Best of all they are All Natural!

First rule of thumb, only use a top quality paper towel such as Bounty.  They will not hold up if you do not buy a good paper towel.  Make sure that the paper towels you buy also are the plain white.  We do not want any dye going onto your babies bum.

List of items needed:
Paper towels
Container that will fit a half roll of paper towels
Natural Baby Lotion or Oil
Natural Baby Soap
Water (something to heat water in)

Steps To Make Your Own All Natural Baby Wipes

1)  Measure the paper towel roll from end to end and cut at the center.  (or eye ball it)  You will now have two rolls of paper towels.  Take the cardboard middle out of each half.  This can be a little tricky.   Loosen the glue around each end of the cardboard and keep working down the cardboard, it will come out.

2)  Heat 1 1/2 to 2 cups water to a boil. (use less or more depending on your paper towel roll size and preference of wetness)

3)  Add 1 Tb all natural baby soap and 1 Tb all natural baby lotion or oil to the water.  Stir to dissolve.

4)  Pour water into your container that will be holding your wipes.  Put one of the paper towel rolls cut side down into the water.  Place the cover on your container.

5)  Once water is absorbed into the paper towels turn container over for about 10 minutes.  Water will now be absorbed throughout the paper towels.

6)  Open the container and pull out the very middle towel on the roll.  You now have homemade all natural baby wipes!!!

***Tip***
I like to use the Bounty select a size paper towels.  They are the perfect size so that you don't feel like you are wasting half of the wipe.

***Tip***
I found a pack of plastic containers at Wal-Mart (probably any discount store) that fit the paper towel rolls perfectly.

***Tip***
For taking wipes with in the diaper bag you can use a zip lock baggie or I have found that the wipe container that comes with the diaper bag works just as well.  The wipes do not dry out too quickly.
