Traditional Homeschooling Method
The Traditional Homeschooling Method is a the method
that mirrors a traditional public school at home. With the traditional method you use textbooks, take
quizzes and tests for every subject. You purchase a complete curriculum which would include all of your textbooks
and materials.
Eclectic Homeschooling Method
The eclectic homeschooling method is what makes homeschooling
the wonderful thing that it is. With the eclectic method you can choose one or more of the following methods.
It is somewhat a hodge-podge of methods. The beauty of the eclectic method is that you can truly use the best style
and teaching approach for your child and change that method when your child's learning style or interests change.
Charloette Mason Method
The Charloette Mason method is a literature based method. It's focus
is on the teaching used by Charloette Mason in her school in England. An excellent website for information on this

Classical Homeschooling Method
The Classical method of homeschooling is based on the
Trivium, the three laws of learning. They include Grammar, Logic and Rhetoric.

Montessori Homeschooling Method
The Montessori method is based on the philosophy of Dr.
Maria Montessori. She believed that children are born wanting to learn and given the right enviornment will flourish.
In the Montessori homeschooling method the child directs the learning. The parents are responsible to make a fun
learning enviornment.

Unit Studies
A Unit Study is when you combine all of your subjects to
center around one topic. This method of homeschooling is a very fun way to learn. It also helps to enhance the
memory retention of the topic covered.

Unschooling
The Unschooling method is completly child directed. The child's
interests directs the learning through everyday experiences. The parents are only there to give help when asked for
by the child.
